 CHANEL

WINTER 2017

Ever since she made the Duke of Westminster’s tweed jackets her own, Gabrielle Chanel has established this English wool len fabric as a timeless luxury. E ssence of the CHANEL look, it remains one of the great sources of inspiration at the House, for fashion but also for watchmaking and this season, for the world of eyewear. The iconic tweed dresses up this winter’s sunglasses and optical frames in a unique version, its motif cast in metal, just like a real piece of je wellery.

5 designs to light up the winter months, conceived like essential accessories that slip in s tinctively into daily life, as their shapes subtly twist the classic lines. The palette of bla ck, navy blue, deep red, khaki and pine green, nude and tort oiseshell adorns urban and elegant frames enhanced with a bridge or temples dressed with this metallic tweed for a pure rock chic allure.

Two pairs of sunglasses, round and pilot, adopt a boyish appearance; ultra - flat and delicately encircled with metal, t hey have a double bridge: one that rests at the top of the nose and the other at the start of the forehead. A second pilot design plays the featherweight abandoning metal for acetate and with just one bridge. It i s echoed by a set of cat - eye frames . The ti meless XL s quare joins this winter panoply, its temples embellished with a large metal ribbon with a tweed aspect for an ultra - feminine look.

The opticals adopt the same shapes as the sunglasses; lightweight and endowed with ultra - thin temples, they resu me the same game of single or double bridges and are also finished with this precious tweed.

A collection of glasses that’ s easy to wear, both casual and refined, to be discovered in the boutiques from September 2017.
